The first mobility - Yalova - Turkey25-29 October. 2021
After an amazing week of Erasmus, we have completed the first mobility of our project with all the partner schools from France, Romania, Poland, Spain and Latvia. During the week, all the participants have carried out many different workshops and activities such as digital and traditional art work, world music and rhythm, handmade paper, designing handicraft and ceramic. We have visited Termal, Yürüyen Köşk, Yalova Municipality, Earthquake Memorial, Paper Museum and Kapili Çınar. School trips to Istanbul, Iznik and Bursa were also amazing. More than 60 teachers and students take part in the activities and over 200 students joined and supported the project. All the partner schools returned their countries after a week full of experiences, emotions and unforgettable memories. (Murat Aksoy - Digital vs. Traditional Project coordinator)
Students' Feedback
Ananaria Lazăr It was
the most beautiful experience of my life! I learned and developed with the help
of these activities within this mobility. I am glad to have had the opportunity
to be part of this beautiful Erasmus family. It was the first experience I had
the opportunity to stay with someone in the host and I could see traditions and
customs so close, I learned words in a language I did not think I would have
the opportunity to speak and I made new friends. We discovered step by step how
beautiful the country is and how much history surrounds us, we found out how
similar we are as peoples and yet how different we are. Thank you for this
occasion and for the wonderful memories!!!
Alexandra Zaharia I felt alive! It was that kind of experience that was too good to be true,
but at the end of the day it was actually true. I felt every day, I encountered
all the feelings and I forgot for a week my daily life. I was someone new, I
was Alex, the person who takes risks. I learned a lot of things about
tradition, culture, music and art of Turkey, but also I learned how to make
Turkish tea and coffee, how to say a bunch of words in this beautiful language
and most importantly how hard, but beautiful is to live with a big family. Now
I look at this experience and I realize how lucky I am to have all these
memories with this community.
Ema Borca The Erasmus project feels like something really close to a blessing.
Even now, a few days after I returned home from Turkey, I still feel like I
should be there, not here. The mobility made me feel like there is no point in
returning home, gave me such a sense of belonging that parting from the
students was almost impossible to phantom. I have met so many amazing people so
far, I have learned how to enjoy life like they do and I cannot thank them
enough for that. I still can barely believe that I was given the opportunity to
take part in such an incredible project, with such loving and beautiful people.
I can sincerely say that I loved every part of it; the early mornings, the fun
and insightful activities, the hurried walks on the roads of Istanbul and
especially the clear waters and the seagulls of the Bosporus. Not once did I
get bored and surprisingly, the lack of sleep did not get the best of me. Why?
Because I was always happy and excited to do more. That is what happens when
you are surrounded by nothing but love and positivity.
Alexia Chifor I have never thought that one week abroad would make
me see life the way I do after this experience. Through this project I have
found a foreign home and an unbiological family, that I painfully miss right
now, and the mobility has taught me a lot about relationships, kindness and
dedication. From the marbling workshop to the closing ceremony, I could feel
all the hard work put into each activity, meant to challenge our curiosity,
creativeness and sense of awareness, all together giving us a full cultural experience.
Besides having the most fun in all the workshops and trips, I have done all of
this in the company of the most loving and friendly people, with whom I have
built strong and hopefully long relationships. I dearly thank each and one from
the Turkish community that contributed to making our stay feel more like home
than our actual home, as I have never seen such caring and generous people
before. It has been a surreal learning experience, full of spiritual and
cultural growth, and now, each place I have visited and person I have met holds
a special place in my heart. Thank you! Mulțumesc! Teşekkürler!
